Launch yourself to new opportunities in the job market.

I encourage you to do an exchange program at one of the renowned universities in the French-speaking countries.

Kick-starting that big dream of immigrating to Canada.

Immerse yourself in a very rich cultural universe, reading books, watching movies, series and everything else, in French!

BECOME PART OF THE QUÉBÉCOISE COMMUNITY IN BRAZIL

Learning French at EQ is like taking a trip to Quebec a few times a week, without crossing the border.

And do you know why this is amazing? Because a language is inseparable from the culture of its people.
That’s why here:

We will be exploring the French language through themes that play a central role in Québécoise society, such as politics, sustainability, and quality of life.

Learning will take place through debate, the expression of opinions, the construction of ideas in the collective, practices that make up the essence of Québécoise society.

You will come into contact with authentic materials that are actually circulating in the various media and communications in Quebec.

With each lesson, you will expand your French vocabulary and immerse yourself a little more into the life, culture, and values of this society.

INVESTMENT

Group classes, 3 times a week (7:30 hours per week)

Tuition

Our Intensive French course condenses all learning from beginner to intermediate (levels A1 to B2) into just 10 months of study. In other words, we prepare you to obtain the level required for immigration to Quebec, starting from scratch, in 10 months.

Understand your investment

When comparing the total investment (levels A1, A2, B1 and B2), a course at EQ is actually cheaper than the average school.

Before you close the deal, calculate the number of hours per month you’ll do, the monthly amount you’ll pay and the total time it will take to go from A1 to B2. Generally, what you learn in 10 months at EQ’s intensive course takes an average of 6 years in a regular course at other schools.

Questions you may be asking yourself:

We have both face-to-face and online classes, so you can choose the format that best suits your interests and routine. Currently, all classes are being held online during the Covid-19 pandemic, but we have our units in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo ready to return to face-to-face classes as soon as the situation improves.

The monthly fee of any school is proportional to the number of hours of classes held per month. At EQ you can choose to take 7:30, 5h, 4h, or 3h classes each week. Since we propose a faster study pace, you will study more hours per week and, as a consequence, learn faster than in other schools. The speed of our courses is accelerated to make the dream of immigration to Québec as soon as possible.

When comparing the total investment to finish a level, a course at EQ is actually cheaper than the average school.

All our courses are offered on different days and times, depending on the weekly schedule (1, 2 or 3 times a week). We open classes throughout the year always at the end of each month. You can check the upcoming dates and modalities available for each level under the “classes” tab.

In the intensive course it is possible to reach the B2 level of French level required by the government in immigration processes in 10 months. If you choose the other modalities, the time to reach level B2 ranges from 14 to 24 months.

EQ courses are open to everyone interested in learning French, whatever their motivation. As one of our major objectives is to boost immigration projects to Canada through language teaching, we teach the French spoken in the province of Quebec and we do it in a contextualized way, that is, always bringing the most relevant aspects of this society so that those who wish to immigrate can communicate fluently when arriving in the region. But beware! If you don’t want to immigrate, you can take the risk of getting infected with the Quebec energy and change your plans, as most of our students do 😉

Group classes take place in groups of up to 12 people and are taught by teachers who are native French speakers or have extensive experience abroad. In each lesson, a linguistic objective is proposed (verbs, grammar…) and a communicative objective (introducing yourself, asking someone out…).

The approach taken at Ecole Quebec is called the ‘communicative method’, and it emphasizes communication. We propose real-life situations in which you will be led to interact and use the language to communicate. The oral and written texts are authentic and come from Quebec contexts. Through them, we develop the 4 skills: speaking, writing, listening and reading in French. We do not believe that error is synonymous with failure. On the contrary, mistakes are used in a positive way for development and learning.

For the basic and intermediate levels we use our own teaching material, the Objectif Québec and for the advanced level we use the material Le français par thèmes – Niveau Avancé, in addition to a personalized curation of materials that the teacher makes for each group, according to the group’s interests and needs.
