CANADA FRENCH
An approach to the culture and the French spoken in Quebec. Each class will be an immersion in the French language, Quebec style.
Choose the modality that is most appropriate for you at this moment
Classes 1 or 2 times a week
(3h weekly)
If you dream of immigrating to Quebec or learning French but have little time available at the moment, this is the ideal modality.
By taking 3-hour classes 1-2 times a week at EQ, you can complete level B2 (required for immigration to Quebec) in 28 months!
You can plan immigration with time and study without rushing until then!
Class once a week, on Saturdays (4h per week)
This modality is also great for those who have less time available for study, but want to immigrate in less time, for example.
By taking 4-hour classes with us once a week, you can complete level B2 in 18 months! Just think: with 4 hours of dedication per week, in 1 year and a half you could be packing your bags for Quebec!
Classes 2 times a week
(5h weekly)
If you want to learn French a little faster and be ready to immigrate, study in a French-speaking country or communicate confidently in French in a little more than a year, we recommend this modality.
By taking 2.5 hour classes, twice a week, you can reach B2 level in just 15 months!
Classes 3 times a week
(7.5 hours a week)
This is the ideal modality for those who want to dive headfirst into an immigration, study, or work project in a French-speaking country, or simply learn as much French as possible in as little time as possible.
Our Intensive French course condenses all learning from beginner to intermediate (levels A1 to B2) into just 10 months of study. For those who have no time to waste to realize a dream and really want to prioritize it right now.
We have both face-to-face and online classes, so you can choose the format that best suits your interests and routine. Currently, all classes are being held online during the Covid-19 pandemic, but we have our units in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo ready to return to face-to-face classes as soon as the situation improves.
The monthly fee of any school is proportional to the number of hours of classes held per month. At EQ you can choose to take 7:30, 5h, 4h, or 3h classes each week. Since we propose a faster study pace, you will study more hours per week and, as a consequence, learn faster than in other schools. The speed of our courses is accelerated to make the dream of immigration to Quebec as soon as possible.
When comparing the total investment to finish a level, a course at EQ is actually cheaper than the average school.
All our courses are offered on different days and times, depending on the weekly schedule (1, 2 or 3 times a week). We open classes throughout the year always at the end of each month. You can check the upcoming dates and modalities available for each level under the “classes” tab.
In the intensive course it is possible to reach the French level B2 required by the Québécois kébécois in immigration processes in 10 months. If you choose the other modalities, the time to reach level B2 ranges from 14 to 24 months.
The eQ courses are open to everyone interested in learning French, whatever their motivation. As one of our major objectives is to boost immigration projects to Canada through language teaching, we teach the French spoken in the province of Quebec and we do it in a contextualized way, that is, always bringing the most relevant aspects of this society so that those who wish to immigrate can communicate fluently when arriving in the region. But beware! If you don’t want to immigrate, you can take the risk of getting infected with the Quebec energy and change your plans, as most of our students do 😉
Group classes take place in groups of up to 12 people and are taught by teachers who are native French speakers or have extensive experience abroad. In each lesson, a linguistic objective is proposed (verbs, grammar…) and a communicative objective (introducing yourself, asking someone out…).
The approach taken at Ecole Quebec is called the ‘communicative method’, and it emphasizes communication. We propose real-life situations in which you will be led to interact and use the language to communicate. The oral and written texts are authentic and come from Quebec contexts. Through them, we develop the 4 skills: speaking, writing, listening and reading in French. We do not believe that error is synonymous with failure. On the contrary, mistakes are used in a positive way for development and learning.
